What's changed? What happened to NESTEA® COOL? A: In May, 2006, the NESTEA® portfolio of iced tea products was overhauled and relaunched with a completely new look and new taste. The most significant changes are that the NESTEA® COOL and NESTEA® ICE lineups have been replaced by a new group of products under just the name NESTEA® . The teas are brand new and include two black teas, lemon and diet lemon, and two green teas, peach and diet peach. Q: Why was NESTEA® COOL discontinued? Why did Diet NESTEA® change? A: NESTEA® is changing its product offerings to provide tea consumers the varieties and tea taste that they prefer. Tea consumption is growing rapidly and in the last two years particularly, the tea category has shifted towards a healthier focus with the introduction of more diets and green teas which are known for their antioxidant content. NESTEA® is launching four new varieties with higher quality ingredients - 2 black teas, lemon and diet lemon, and 2 green teas, peach green and diet peach green. These flavors tested very well in blind consumer taste tests. The relaunch is taking place in the key summer timeframe because it is peak season for iced tea drinking. We want to offer consumers great tasting, refreshing beverages during the hottest months of the year. These new tea brands will provide great tasting, healthy refreshment to consumers on the go. Q: Who is the NESTEA® consumer? A: Nestea's clean tea taste is a simple pleasure everyone can enjoy. Q: Is there a "best by" date or a "produced on" date on the packaging? A: Yes, the "best by" date is stamped into the neck of the plastic bottle or on the bottom of the can (e.g. OCT0306 means “best by” October 3rd, 2006). Q: How much do NESTEA® products cost? A: Prices are set by the retailer. Q: What is the shelf life of NESTEA® ? A: NESTEA® Sweetened Lemon: 26 weeks in PET bottles, 39 weeks in aluminum cans. NESTEA® Diet Lemon: 18 weeks in PET bottles, 39 weeks in cans. NESTEA® Peach Green tea and Diet Peach Green tea: 18 weeks in PET bottles, 26 weeks in cans. NESTEA® Instant Tea Mix (Soluble) Q: Is the product gluten-free? A: Yes. Q: Does this have any artificial sweeteners such as Sucralose or Aspartame? A: NESTEA® is formulated with sucralose which is a sweetener derived from sugar. Sucralose adds sweetness without adding extra sugar. Q: What is the caffeine content of NESTEA® Soluble Tea? A: Our Sweetened with Lemon and Lemonade Tea varieties contain 20mg to 30mg of caffeine per 8 fl. oz. serving. Our unsweetened 100% regular teas contain 20-30 mg per 8 fl. oz. serving. Our unsweetened decaffeinated tea contains less than 1mg of caffeine per 8 fl. oz. serving. Q: What is the shelf life of NESTEA® Soluble Tea? A: The recommended shelf life is approximately 24 months. Q: Can I use this to make hot tea? A: NESTEA® makes a wonderful cup of hot tea. The only caution is that our sugar free mixes must be consumed within 15 minutes of preparation for maximum flavor enjoyment. NESTEA® Concentrate (Line being discontinued 11/30/06) Q: What is the caffeine content of the NESTEA® Concentrates? A: NO Q: How much tea does one bottle of NESTEA® Liquid Concentrate make? A: The 16 fl. oz. bottle of NESTEA® Liquid Concentrate makes convenient servings of any size from one glass to four quarts. Q: How do I measure the right amount of product? A: There are two ways to make great-tasting NESTEA® . The bottle has a helpful measuring chart on the side indicating how much product to use to make from one to four quarts of iced tea. You can also measure the product with a measuring cup or spoon. Q: Does the product need to be refrigerated after opening? A: Yes, be sure to refrigerate NESTEA® Liquid Concentrate after opening. Q: What is the shelf life of the product? A: The recommended shelf life for NESTEA® Liquid Concentrate is one year unopened and four weeks after opening when refrigerated. Q: Can I use NESTEA® Liquid Concentrate to make hot tea? A: NESTEA® Liquid Concentrate can be used to make hot tea. However, heat the tea after it has been prepared. Do not heat in the bottle. Q: Does this product contain artificial flavors or colors? A: No, our NESTEA® Liquid Concentrate does not contain artificial flavors or colors. NESTEA® Refrigerated Tea (Chilled) Q: Is NESTEA® Kosher? A: Yes, OUD Q: What is the caffeine content of NESTEA® in Refrigerated Cartons? A: The amount of caffeine in an 8 fl. oz. serving ranges from 10 - 35mg, depending on flavor. Comparatively, an 8 fl. oz. cup of coffee ranges from 65 - 120mg. Q: Is the product pasteurized? A: Yes, all NESTEA® varieties in Refrigerated Cartons are pasteurized. Q: My NESTEA® Refrigerated Carton is past the recommended "use by" date. Is it still safe to drink? A: NESTEA® Refrigerated Cartons should be refrigerated at all times and, for optimum quality, be used within the "use by" date.
